Digging for the Smoothness...
Lots of people don't know who Tom Brock is, but this is a smooth cat who used to play with Barry White back in the day. He has some nice cuts on his album, so check it out. This one is going to make you smile, since I know you probably heard it before (Shout out to Jus Blaze!).

Digging for the Buttermilk
Digging for the Buttermilk
Before tunes like "Celebration" and "Ladies Night" came out, Kool and the Gang was one of the baddest groups around. Before they switched to R&B, they were a funk/jazz fusion group called the Jazziacs. Here is a dope cut from their classic 1st album (get it if you ain't got it!). I don't know where they got the title from, but knowing how bad buttermilk tastes, chocolate buttermilk HAS to be funky and describes this song oh so well!

Digging in the Jungle
Welcome to Digital Crate Diggers!
DCD will school you to the hits that we never knew existed, but we've always heard. Let's start diggin!
The first post HAS to have probably the most sampled songs and THE most sampled break beat ever... I would bet that if there was a $1 for each time this sample was played, every rap and R&B artist should have made James Brown and the legendary drummer Clyde Stubblefield rich. Feel this jam in its entirety!
James Brown - Funky Drummer
In true DCD fashion, here's a video about the one and only Funky Drummer, Clyde Stubblefield
